Podcast 49: April Fool’s
by The Meal Makeover Moms on April 1st, 2009On today’s Cooking with the Moms podcast show, we laugh our way through the whacky world of nutrition. For starters, we discuss common nutrition myths such as, “potatoes and bread are fattening,” “eating late at night goes straight to your hips,” and “eggs raise cholesterol,” and we debunk them all. Tune in for the facts and nothing but the facts. We also share two of our favorite recipes: Frog Legs – a perennial favorite with kids — and a four-layer Devil’s Food Cake with Peppermint Frosting with its 1,300 calories and 75 grams of fat.
If you love our show, feel free to post a review on iTunes. To return the favor, we’ll send you a million dollars and an April Fool’s hug! All kidding aside, we welcome your feedback on the show. What do you like about it? What topics would you like us to cover that we haven’t covered already? Are there any recipes you’d like us to create and then share? Tell us what you’re thinking by posting a comment to the blog.

Hi Holly:
We’re glad you found us and like our podcast! Becasue of your post, we just decided to add a podcast show to our lineup on cholesterol and foods that can help lower it. Thanks for the suggestion. Stay tuned for that in the coming weeks.
In the meantime, all the recipes in our book and on our website and blog have a focus on whole grains, fruits, vegetables, lean meats, lowfat dairy, and healthy oils so they should help to improve your diet and manage cholesterol. Keep in touch!
Holly, we recorded a podcast today all about foods that lower cholesterol. It will go live next week on April 22nd. Let us know what you think!
