I've been so proud of myself this year with keeping and using my reusable grocery bags at the store. The kids are doing great using them as well.
I will add that I went to IKEA and got napkins that can just be thrown into the washer instead of sending them with paper napkins.

We have recycled newspaper, junk mail, cardboard, cans and bottles for forever. It is easier now that it is picked up curbside! We also use re-usable grocery bags when food shopping.

Thanks for your great blogs and podcasts!

Hi!

We switched our lights to CFLs, shop farmer markets during the summer, and recycle. We have a home garden, too. I really love eating local produce whenever possible. We're working towards more lunches from home rather than school/work lunches (I'm open to suggestions re: containers!). Also cutting down on bottled water.

Thanks for your website, blog and podcasts. Love them!

I was actually just looking at buying everyone in the family these bottles for Christmas!

What am I doing? I am using recyclable bags at the store, changed all my lights to the squiggly ones (forgot what they are called), I recycle bottles, paper, plastic and aluminum, keeping all the lights turned off (teaching the kids) and limiting water use...and now trying to cut down on bottled water...

Love the idea of litterless lunches...will try that next! :)

We are really trying to pack 'litterless' school lunches. That means using reusable containers for drinks, sandwiches and snacks.

We are using re-usable grocery bags. My kids love being in charge of them...I love that the handles don't break when I'm bringing all the groceries inside!

I'm keeping my heat at 66 and using thicker socks or sweaters when I'm cold. I'm also trying to limit my shopping to sales in my area rather than going a longer distance for a specialty food.
